Low Carbon Infrastructure: BUILDING A BETTER FUTURE

Houston-based Low Carbon Infrastructure (LCI) develops and invests in high-impact, power and industrial energy transition projects and technologies targeting near-zero carbon emissions. With capabilities across project sourcing, financing, development and operations, LCI expertly navigates the complex industrial environment to create opportunities for sustainable decarbonization solutions. LCI is backed by a major infrastructure fund that provides a unique acumen and capability for project financing and structuring, which is critical for development and execution.

Broadwing Energy Center: Broadwing, owned by LCI, is a new, gas-fired, low-carbon power generation project in Decatur, Illinois. The first-of-its-kind power plant will supply low-carbon electricity and steam for processing operations by Archer Daniels Midland. Once fully operational, more than 90% of the carbon dioxide (CO2) produced by the plant is expected to be captured, which will be permanently stored onsite using ADM's carbon capture and storage capabilities. With the potential to permanently sequester over 2 million tons of CO2 emissions per year, this project will serve as a model for reducing carbon emissions across the globe.
